What you will need

Dragon Boat ACT supplies paddles as well as a life jacket, if you are not a confident swimmer (or you choose to try out in the cooler months). You will join the boat with the rest of the Griffins crew, including a qualified sweep (to steer the boat) and a coach.
You need to:
  •  bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat / sunglasses.
  •  wear something comfortable (e.g. gym gear) that you don’t mind getting wet and that you could swim in if there was an emergency.  For the colder months, thermals, a beanie and some waterproof or warming socks and gloves are recommended.
  •  wear closed shoes that can get wet – (no thongs and no bare feet allowed)

Training times

Tuesday and Thursday - 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm
Sunday - 9:15 am to 10:30 am
This includes a 15 minute warm up, and an hour paddle on the lake. A good stretch and of course a good catch-up after paddling is also encouraged.
While we paddle all year round, in the cooler months we usually only paddle on Sunday morning.
